Am writing this after going thru the full 9 mths term of pregnancy and tomorrow will be the day i will admit myself and get the baby induce out!..
The feeling of the whole process of pregnancy was actually easy for me, i do not have morning sickness, nausea, sudden allergy to certain smells, food or drinks, nothing, absolutely nothing for me. I can still walk like a healthy young mid 20s years old girl.. or even run!.. hahha, of course am not allow to do that. But i did walked pretty fast though.. and i remembered how my colleagues will remind me that am pregnant actually and asked me not to walk so fast.
My hubby in other hand, i think he is feeling very comfortable too, as i do not have much of a grievance, or craving for odd foods!... well, of course, i did do something like "a queen" status demanding for something. It was FUN, sitting there relax, and you are lazy to go down the stair to get a drink or food, and that is when you start to use your hubby service. "Dear, am hungry, can you get make milo for me?" or "Dear, i feel like eating toast bread, can you make it for me?"
Oh, his service is superb for that time..
And the only downside is that, there are too many "pantang" (taboo), you can't do this, and you can't do that.. well, I would say there are believes and has been part of the traditions in Asia especially us Chinese to follows those pantang when you are pregnant. Of course, I choose to follow them as is natural for you to think the best for both baby and mother. I wouldn't want to risk it even sometimes i think is a quite stupid to follow those DON'Ts. Great example, DO NOT NAIL or DO RENOVATION at your home. If I were to think of it, there is nothing wrong with nailing the walls or do some small renovation at home when is necessary. Scientifically, nothing is wrong with that but is an old folks believes that if we are to do nailing and renovation, touch wood, the baby might get deformities.
Wow, is a big deal, right?!! I wouldn't want my baby comes out with any deformation, no way!.. well, of course, that scare you, eventually, you will say " YES YES, i will follow. Listen to the elders"
Food, also a restriction. But my gynae told me to take fruit juices like COLD orange juice, WATER MELON juice, any fruits juices that is COLD for the first 3 months. Ring a bell? Yes, my mum after hearing that, her eyes was wide open, no blinking, jaw opened..she looked at me.. gave me the NO NO NO look. When on the way back home, she told me to change doctor... hahahah
Scientifically in medical terms, why we are suggested to take cold drinks was because it helps to ease the nausea, to prevent from having the feeling of vomiting and the juices are simply because as a pregnant women, it is healthy to take more fruit juices to prevent from morning sickness and to get the taste of a bit sweet n sour taste so we won't get nausea.
And yet, do I get the choice, nope! I have to listen to the elders.
Times flies, it was just like yesterday when i got to know i was pregnant and here I am thinking how will I go through the process of pushing the baby out from my "v" :P
I kept reminding my husband, that he needs to be with me no matter how and yes, he is so anxious and nervous now... i know he is.
We have been waiting for the time to arrive since last 2 weeks ago.. I got the cramping pain at my abdomen since last 2 weeks ago.. and guess the baby just dun want to come out yet.. Anyway, both of us decide to induce the baby out tomorrow.. Shall see, how it goes..
As usual.. some quotes to share..
Life is the blossoming of flowers in the spring, the ripening of fruit in the fall, the rhythm of the earth and of nature. Life is the cry of cicadas signaling the end of summer, migratory birds winging south in a transparent autumn sky, fish frolicking in a stream. Life is the joy beautiful music instills in us, the thrilling sight of a mountain peak reddened by the rising sun, the myriad combinations and permutations of visible and invisible phenomena. Life is all things.
